The plaintiff, while working in a crawlspace, came in contact with the outflow from an uncapped hot water pipe.
As a result, plaintiff suffered extensive burn injuries. Investigation revealed that the outflow pipe, which carried water at 180 degrees, had been installed without a cap contrary to housing code requirements. Plaintiff alleges negligence in the installation of the pipes and the failure to warn the worker of the dangerous condition that existed.
